Populations

Type Locality

Wézé River.

Distribution

Wézé river basin (collected in 3 locations), northwest Gabon. Replaced to the southeast by A.rubrogaster & to the west by A.pusillum.

Habitat

Collected in very small forest streams & puddles, some with roots & leaves. Reported as being abundant. Found in 3 localities in the Wézé river basin.
Sympatric species include an unknown (undescribed?) Aphyosemion, Epiplatys sp, Plataplochilus sp.

Distinguishing Characteristics Orange head, flanks biege, ventral region orange. Orange anal with no spots.

History

Collected in a northern tributary of Wézé River 1st March 2016 by Laurent Chirio. He also collected them in a southern tributary of Wézé River on 5th March 2016.
