Scheel originally considered this sp. to be calliurum.but
noticed a difference in chromosome arm numbers. Amiet considered the
colouration to be distinctly seperate from calliurum
& ahli. Amiet originally found the type specimens at several locations in 1987. In 1989 Legros, Vlum & Eberl assisted by Guy Claveau visited one of these locations 18kms east of Edéa on the Axe Lourd to Yoaundé. This was location C 89/31. In 1991 Grell & Eberl revisited this site & brought back live fish to Europe. |
